Waste Transport: ÖBB Rail Cargo Group and FCC Austria Reduce CO2 Emissions by 400 Tonnes Annually

For 20 years, ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) and the waste management company FCC Austria Abfall Service AG have exemplified how sustainable waste management can seamlessly integrate with efficient end-to-end logistics.
Tens of thousands of tonnes of garbage are transported annually by RCG for FCC Austria.
This collaboration demonstrates that economic goals can align with environmental protection, setting new benchmarks in the waste management and logistics industry. The annual reduction of approximately 400 tonnes of CO2 emissions is a testament to this. Additionally, thermal recycling produces extra energy.
