The £3.4 million Glenfinnan viaduct restoration project is under way. The structure is 123 years old.
At the base of the monument, which is located on the West Highland Line 17 miles from Fort William and 100 feet above the River Finnan, Network Rail and primary contractor AmcoGiffen have established a compound.
This work is a component of Network Rail's continuous maintenance program and will contribute to the viaduct's future-proofing.
