In the hydrogen railway industry, Siemens Mobility and Tyczka Hydrogen collaborate to offer fuel cell train end-to-end solutions

25 June 2024 (Germany)

Siemens Mobility and Tyczka Hydrogen signed Letter of Intent (LoI) in April 2024 to collaborate and hasten the transition to hydrogen-powered rail transportation.

The two businesses have decided to collaborate in order to find solutions for the entire supply chain,
which includes fuel cell train delivery and maintenance as well as hydrogen production, storage, distribution, and refueling.

Furthermore, hydrogen trains can be rented via Siemens Mobility's subsidiary Smart Train Leasing.

From the standpoint of the train operator, an integrated strategy for fossil fuel-free transportation requires not only hydrogen-powered trains and related maintenance services, but also must encompass the whole green hydrogen fuel supply chain.
