Alstom is awarded a €4 billion contract by S-Bahn Cologne in Germany to supply and maintain 90 commuter trains

Alstom, has secured a contract to provide 90 Adessia Stream commuter trains to the local rail passenger transport authorities go.Rheinland and Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). These trains will be operated in the S-Bahn Cologne network in Germany.

The contract also includes a long-term full-service agreement, under which Alstom will take full responsibility for the maintenance of the trains for a period of 34 years.

This is Alstom's largest order in Germany to date, with a total value exceeding €4 billion.
