AECOM has been chosen as the design partner for the Capital Line South Light Rail Transit Extension project in Alberta, Canada

AECOM announced that it will act as the design partner, subcontracted by Capital Line Design-Build Ltd., a member of the Ledcor Group, to deliver Phase 1 of the City of Edmonton’s Capital Line South Light Rail Transit Extension project.
The project involves a 4.5-kilometer light rail extension from Century Park to just north of Ellerslie Road, the addition of two new stations, and the construction of a light rail vehicle storage and maintenance facility.
As the design lead for the Capital Line Design-Build Ltd. team, AECOM will oversee the design of both infrastructure and systems.
